4 Bikini Trends I'm Stealing From Blue Crush

Quick: What comes to mind when you think of quintessential summer movies? For me, it has to be Blue Crush. The 2002 film has everything you want in a warm-weather flick: a beautiful Hawaiian backdrop, shirtless love interests, a breakout star (Kate Bosworth in one of her earliest roles), and of course, lots and lots of swimsuits.

It's been 18 years since the movie was released, but almost all of the bikini trends are still cool today. Bosworth, Michelle Rodriguez, and the other girls all wore different swimsuits to suit their characters' personal styles. Rodriguez wore fun tiger prints and American flag prints, while Bosworth was more classic in stripes and solid colors. Scroll down to reminisce about the iconic summer movie and shop the bikini trends that still work in 2020.

VB, Chrissy, and EmRata Have Been Living in This Must-Have Item

If you asked us last year, we never would have predicted that robes would be the must-have item of 2020. Who could have? But since we're all spending more time at home, it's safe to say this has become our go-to piece of clothing—and it looks like many celebs agree.

Whether embracing that 24/7 cozy lifestyle in traditional terry cloth, prioritizing DIY spa treatments while wrapped in a lightweight layer, lounging poolside in a pretty cover-up or even throwing on a bright, patterned kimono before taking a Zoom call (we're looking at you, Hillary Kerr!), robes of all stripes have rightfully earned their place in our 2020 wardrobes.

After noticing this trend on Instagram, our inklings were affirmed when The New York Times reported that robe sales had more than doubled in the past few months. The best part? There are so many styles to choose from. Whether you're all about the bathrobe like Victoria Beckham, Chrissy Teigen, and Emily Ratajakowski, or favor flowier styles like January Jones, Nicole Richie, and Cardi B, there's the perfect robe 'fit to be found.

So what are you waiting for? Start scrolling—it's time to get wrapped up!

How cute are Chrissy and mom, Pepper? We'll take the next appointment at Chrissy's living room spa, please.

Nicole Richie in the library in a spotted robe. TBH, this could hang in a museum one day.

New mom Shay Mitchell wears a fluffy terry cloth robe while doing at-home glam—stunning as ever.

Directed by her 9-year-old son, Xander, January Jones wore this bright silk robe to film a mini-tour of her garden—everything about this is too cute!

Jessica Alba prepares for an at-home treatment with celebrity facialist Shani Darden while wearing a fuzzy robe and matching headband.

Elizabeth Banks enjoys a quarantine cocktail in a plush gray robe. She is accompanied by her Hunger Games character, Effie, in doll form, of course.

Have you heard? Mindy Kaling is directing Legally Blonde 3! We love this near-perfect costume recreation, complete with stuffed Bruiser. Reese Witherspoon called it #ElleWoodsApproved!

EmRata and husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, pose in their matching robes. Think their pup, Colombo, is jealous?

Christina Aguilera looks radiant in this style she deems "cozy and calm."

Jada Pinkett-Smith laments the state of her grown-out nails in this cute video. Although at first we were distracted by her gorgeous makeup-free skin, we also liked this bright red version of the classic coverup.

Kourtney Kardashian shares her recent obsession (an LED light mask with glasses), which she uses while swathed in coziness.

Cardi B opts for a pastel floral style (perhaps to match her manicure?).

Dressed head-to-toe in white (including a plush chenille robe), Kelly Rowland dances with her son is this sweet video.
