Simply put, it's our job to find the best beauty products out there for you. From the newest serum to the hottest lipstick color to the dry shampoo that will change your life, we will find it, test it, and let you know what we think. We're not complaining. It's a pretty fun gig, and we'll volunteer to be beauty guinea pigs any day.
But one of the cool things to come out of this is finding out what products you're loving and buying. It helps us figure out what you want to learn more about and what you're into so we can bring even more personalized recs to you.
Because we share a lot of our favorites with you every single day, we recognize it might be hard to keep up. So we've decided to put together a handy weekly list of what we love and what you love—consider this a CliffsNotes, one-stop shop of what's really trending and worth adding to your cart at this very moment.
This week, I'm taking a look back at all the beauty products I thought were pointless, but are now my absolute essentials. Do you have a favorite that I missed? I'd love to know. Send us a DM.
I always thought face oils would make your face, well, oily. So of course, I stayed away from them for a long time. That was a big mistake since my skin is usually classified as normal to dry, and I could have benefited from a ultra-moisturizing facial oil all this time! The best ones don't leave an oily, greasy finish. In fact, they absorb quickly, solving your dry-skin problems a lot faster.
Okay, I didn't really think body scrubs were exactly "pointless," but I sure did not do a lot of body exfoliation for a long time. Because of that, I never kept any body scrubs on hand. Now, I make sure to exfoliate my body once a week. It's just a great way to ward off any flaky skin and leaves my skin silky smooth and brighter.
I had no idea what an essence was until this year. A big star in the K-beauty space, an essence both hydrates the skin and balances its pH. They're usually formulated with fermented ingredients (aka probiotics) to improve cell turnover and the skin's barrier. As someone who needs a lot of hydration, I've been relying on essences to keep my skin from getting too parched. I find they leave my face looking brighter and plumper, too.
An antioxidant serum was never on my radar until I heard my colleagues raving about how glowy vitamin C serums made their faces look. So I gave one a whirl, and the rest is history. They can protect your skin against environmental damage. Plus, they brighten dark spots and just leave your skin looking oh so radiant. Now whenever someone asks about my glowy skin, they get to listen to an effusive monologue on vitamin C serum.
Because I had a low-maintenance skincare routine for so long, I always slept on face mists. I just didn't really think they were necessary. Although I can't say I use a face mist every day, I now keep one on hand for when my face needs a refresher. This is especially handy in the summer months when my face gets sweaty and I need a pick-me-up. Plus, it's just a nice, luxurious mood booster.
Earlier this week, I was minding my own business scrolling aimlessly on Instagram (as one does), and I started getting a flurry of text messages. Who were they from? None other than my friend and co-worker Mimi. She was frantically informing me of the current state of Zara's new arrivals section. From the styling to the products themselves, I was truly blown away by how amazing everything from the summer 2021 collection was. After sending all of our favorite products to each other, the consensus was this: Okay, Zara really didn't have to pop off like that!
Since I know you all love Zara just as much as the Who What Wear staff does, I decided to do a massive haul of all the new summer Zara finds we are shocked over. Featuring every new trend you could think of and then some, the selection of 59 stunning finds below is sure to make you feel like you're looking at designer finds when, in reality, they are super affordable. Have fun and happy summer shopping!

60 seconds make a minute; 60 minutes an hour. But ever wondered, why? And, since when? Let’s take a break from watches and go back in time. That a minute and an hour have 60 divisions to each is a concept that originated sometime in the 1600s, but it was a giant leap that marked

Presented by RM Sotheby’s – The Jaguar D-Type looks its part in a way that even few other competition cars of the 1950s do: Even sitting still, it fairly radiates speed and lightness. It is, at its heart, a strong, lightweight monocoque body tub, snugly fitting the driver, with a solid rear axle and suspension […]

Paula Reto had secured a spot in the Olympic Games representing South Africa after Lee-Anne Pace and Ashleigh Buhai withdrew from Toyko. She took a COVID-19 test for the Olympics while competing last week in the Amundi Evian Championship and learned at 10 p.m. on Saturday evening that she’d tested positive. She was tied for 40th at the Evian through three rounds and was forced to withdraw from both a major championship and the Tokyo Games. A tremendous blow for any player, but especially for Reto given that a strong finish in France would go a long way toward keeping her LPGA card. And it only got worse really, as she took four additional tests after that and tested negative for each. Reto, who had COVID-19 back in March and was fully vaccinated as of Sunday of...

LONDON — An equality watchdog has warned British employers to be careful about adopting blanket bans on unvaccinated workers, amid a growing debate on “no jab, no job” policies in the U.K and worldwide. The warning came from the Equality and Human Rights Commission, which oversees the application of equality and non-discrimination laws in the U.K. “Employers are right to want to protect their staff and their customers — particularly in contexts where people are at risk, such as care homes. However, requirements must be proportionate, non-discriminatory and make provision for those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons,” a spokesperson for the commission said via email. The commission’s statement comes after multiple large corporations such as Google and Facebook...
While Australian contact tracers appear to have given up on the COVIDSafe app, England is experiencing the opposite problem.England's contact-tracing app is confining hundreds of thousands of people a week to their homes in a so-called "pingdemic" that's forced businesses closed temporarily and left supermarket shelves empty. It's an astonishing contrast that highlights not only the stark difference between tens of thousands of cases a day and a few hundred but the divergent approaches both governments took when trying their hand at digital contact tracing for the first time.READ MORE: While New South Wales Health confirms it has not used the app in the state's latest outbreak and Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley was on...
Despite the boom in ecommerce, many industry players have missed meeting earnings expectations as of late. This is partly due to the difficult comparisons they face from the home-run Q1 many have had, and partly because all booms must cool off eventually. One such company in a related industry, PayPal Holdings, Inc. (PYPL), fell into this unfortunate category. The payment processing platform beat on earnings, but missed on Q3 outlook for both revenue and EPS. (See PayPal stock charts on TipRanks) Detailing this development is Trevor Williams of Jefferies Group, who wrote that although PayPal has forecasted an uneventful Q3, he is not too concerned, and thus remains bullish. Williams assigned a Buy rating on the stock, and declared a price target...
Photo by Hans Gutknecht/MediaNews Group/Los Angeles Daily News via Getty ImagesFormer Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Freire isn’t going to complain about the way his Bellator 263 main event played out against A.J. McKee. “On this night, he was great,” Freire said Saturday night in his post-fight press conference. “He kicked my head and he almost knocked me out and he almost finished me on the same night, so he was good. Congratulations. Now he’s the champion.” Freire lost to McKee via technical submission less than two minutes into the first round in the blockbuster finals of Bellator’s featherweight grand prix. McKee first downed Freire with a head kick before finishing Freire off with a guillotine choke to win the $1 million...
