NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – An employee at an East Harlem deli is dead after police say he was stabbed by a customer, and the search is on Wednesday morning for the suspect.

This happened just around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night on Second Avenue near the corner of East 102nd Street.

Investigators say the customer stabbed the 34-year-old worker in the torso during an argument.

He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – A police pursuit ended in a fatal crash in Holtsville Tuesday night.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night on North Ocean Avenue near Expressway Drive South.

According to Suffolk Police, it all started when a marked police car tried to pull over a 2004 Tacoma pickup truck at Long Island Avenue and Gazebo Lane.

Police say the Tacoma driver sped off, and police followed with lights and sirens.

The Tacoma crashed into a Honda Civic. The driver of the Civic was killed.

A female passenger in the Tacoma was ejected from the truck, and rushed to Stonybrook Hospital in serious condition, police said.

The driver of the Tacoma tried to run off, but was caught. He suffered minor injuries, according to authorities.

There’s no word yet on possible charges.
