Fowl play: Police search for chicken terrorising bank customers
The suspect, an "aggressive chicken," is described as reddish-tan, 20 centimetres tall and between 2 to 4 kilograms.
American police have urged residents to lookout for a suspect that has been terrorising bank customers in the Louisiana city of Walker.
The suspect, an "aggressive chicken," is described as reddish-tan, 20 centimetres tall and between 2 to 4 kilograms, the Walker Police Department said in a playful post on Facebook.
Officers received a call from the bank about 4pm on Friday, notifying them of the suspect.https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FWalker.Police%2Fposts%2F10159566589203368&width=500
"Although police reached the bank within a couple of minutes of the call, the chicken apparently anticipated the imminent arrival of law enforcement and fled on foot from the scene," the post read.
Officials said the chicken is "wanted on charges of assault, attempted battery, attempted burglary, terrorizing and ignoring an order of the Governor."
The bird remains on the loose. While police asked for the public's help locating the fowl, they said people should avoid confronting it because of its history of "aggressive behaviour."
Police said the chicken harassed customers at the ATM and drive-thru, chasing people and trying to get into vehicles.
This isn't the first-time animals have terrorised people this week, after a Monkey on a motorbike tried to steal a toddler in Indonesia.
