What to expect from Galaxy Unpacked 2021

Galaxy S21 series

Samsung has been tight-lipped about the lineup of it’s Everyday Epic event, but several leaks throughout 2020 give us somewhat of an indication of what to expect from the first Samsung event of 2021.

Samsung usually unveils a new Galaxy series at the start of the year, so we could expect a preview of the Galaxy S21 series – likely the S21, the S21+, and the S21 Ultra, if previous launches are anything to go by.

As reported earlier by Android Police, all devices in the S21 series will include 5G network connectivity and will ship with either the Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 chipset.

Galaxy S Pen

There are also rumours floating about that the S Pen will no longer be exclusive to the Note phones. Several outlets reported that Samsung will be adding support for the stylus to the Ultra device.

In addition, the S21 Ultra likely won’t ship with an S Pen. Instead, it will be sold separately as a stand-alone product. This, however, has not been confirmed, and you’ll have to tune into the live stream to learn more.

Speaking of, Samsung might follow in Apple’s footsteps and forego shipping devices with a charger or headphones.

Galaxy Buds Pro

Lastly, the audiophiles among us will be eager to hear about the Galaxy Buds Pro. The new set reportedly features active noise-cancelling, wireless charging and a brand new “bean-less” design.

As reported by , the “release date [of the Galaxy Buds Pro] will most likely coincide with the release date of the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup” on 14 January 2021.

“While [Samsung] hasn’t confirmed which products are on the agenda, a new phone is almost certain to be the headliner. That would mean the Galaxy Buds Pro would be introduced at the same time”.
