According to The Times, Low persuaded Musiala to change allegiances with multiple visits to his home.
The manager launched a ‘huge charm offensive’ to ensure that one of Europe’s best wonderkids chose Germany.
The report states that he was ‘crucial’ in the decision, as the German FA had given up on the player in November.
They expected Musiala to represent England as he was already part of Aidy Boothroyd’s U21 setup.
However, Low was desperate to get Musiala on his side after having seen the attacking midfielder’s potential, and it worked.
The 18-year-old is expected to receive his first Germany call-up later this month.
Germany face the likes of Iceland and Romania in their World Cup qualifiers.
That means Musiala could make his national team debut and become one of their youngest ever players.
He is already a record breaker, having scored in the Champions League earlier this season for Bayern.
By netting in the 4-1 over Lazio last month, he became Bayern’s youngest ever scorer in the competition.
Musiala is enjoying a good first season in the Bundesliga, too.
He’s scored three goals in 17 appearances so far this term.
The player, who is comfortable on the wing or in central attacking midfield, could replace Thomas Muller.
Bayern are searching for the 31-year-old’s long-term replacement and they might’ve just found their man.
Musiala has in recent months.
But the German giants have attempted to ward off that interest by giving him a major new contract.
