HCL Tech Gains 1% on increase in net income for the fourth quarter

HCL Tech Gains 1%:

In the fourth quarter of March 2020 ended, HCL Tech’s share of the BSE Rs 518 increased with more than 1%, after IT-major, on 7th May at Rs 3,154 crore by 4% in net income. 

However, profit bookings occurred soon after on the HCL counter. The stock hit a Rs 522 intraday high, and a Rs 502 intraday low. On May 7th the net return of the quarter ended March 31 for IT major HCL technologies posted a profit of Rs 3,154 crore, marking a series increase of 3.8%.

HCL Tech announced in a regulatory document that its revenue came up at Rs 18,590 crore during the period January-March, 2.5% up, more than last year. 

HCL Tech said income for the quarter ended December 31 in dollars amounted to $2,543 million. In line with the fourth quarterly estimates of other IT firms, HCL Technologies has issued no revenue guidance in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic uncertainties. 

Stock Market on May 8th:

On the fifth day of the week, the  traded with the bullish trend. The Sensex traded with a gain of 199.32 points reached 31,642.70 level with 0.63% up. Whereas, Nifty traded with a gain of 52.45 points reached 9,251.50 level with 0.57% up.

In the border market, the S&P BSE Midcap traded with a gain of 4.13 points reached 11,423.81 with 0.036% up. Whereas, S&P BSE SmallCap traded with a loss of 48.05 points reached 10,638.70 with 0.45% down. At the same time, Nifty bank traded with a loss of 138.90 points reached 19,352.90 with 0.71% down.

Top Gainers: Hindustan Unilever, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Dr.Reddy’s Laboratories, Tech Mahindra, and Nestle India Limited.

Top Losers: NTPC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank, Indusind Bank, and JSW Steel Limited.

The Board of Directors of Hindustan Zinc Ltd to conduct a meeting on 12th May to consider and approve, if necessary for the Financial Year 2019-20, Interim Dividend for equity shares. 

The trading window closed to insiders between Saturday 9th May and Thursday 14th May (both days inclusive). 

The record-date for the approval of the interim dividend, if any, so will declare 20th May. In 2096 trades a total of 131,275 shares traded during the day.
