I Placed My Dogs Into Famous Movie Scenes With Photoshop (13 Pics)

With Covid-19 keeping us all at home, I thought there's no better time than the present to unleash some creativity and practice some Photoshop skills. Thankfully our two dogs, Summer, and Apollo, are well trained in the art of posing for Instagram and were more than willing to cooperate in photos for some extra treats. They were Photoshopped into famous movie scenes on our Instagram page, for a little bit of light-hearted entertainment and laughs and to spread some positivity during these uncertain times.

Someone Spotted That David Bowie Often Looked Like A Sea Slug, Created An Entire Blog To Prove It (30 Pics)

Bowiebranchia is a Tumblr account that compares pictures of Nudibranchia and other Opisthobranchia to David Bowie. And I know, at first, such a blog sounds a little random. After all, what do they have in common? However, once you start actually looking at the images, the answer becomes obvious. Their appearances.

At times, the similarities work to such an uncanny degree, it's hard not to imagine that Bowie was actually bitten by a radioactive sea slug and developed a superhuman shapeshifting ability, allowing him to summon all of its colorful and imaginative looks. Continue scrolling and see for yourself!

Interestingly, these sea slugs carry showy exteriors on purpose. They burst with colors to scare predators away, informing them that their slimy innards may be toxic or simply yucky. According to evolutionary biologist Anne Winters, Bowiebranchia exposes what we can learn about the wild, beautiful and competitive evolution of both Bowie and the slugs.

“They’re both trying to stand out,” . “He’s trying to make a statement and get recognized for his individuality and his music, and nudibranchs are trying to get recognized too.”

Tracy Dendy, a New York-based designer who is the brain behind Bowiebranchia, said that she originally started using images of sea slugs as placeholders when designing new projects. Then, her co-worker pointed out the resemblance between a particularly vibrant photo and one of Bowie’s outfits, and she realized the potential for a blog. “I had never really known that much about David Bowie, but I was really into sea slugs,” Dendy said. For her, the draw of the blog was strictly the visual oddity and eerie perfection of the comparisons she could make.

The side-by-side format of these comparisons are really next level; matching lighting, colors, and even moods highlight the musician’s many changes, as well as the wild and brutal sides of natural selection.
