British actor Idris Elba has dropped out as co-host of the 2021 GRM Daily Rated Awards due to “unfortunate isolation circumstances,” the U.K.-based rap and grime outlet GRM Daily announced Tuesday (Sept. 14).

British actor/comedian Michael Dapaah is set to replace Elba. Model Jourdan Dunn is still slated to co-host the ceremony, as initially reported on Sept. 2.

Male artist of the year nominee Tion Wayne and video of the year nominee Pa Salieu are on the bill to perform during the awards show. Wayne reached No. 11 on the Billboard Global 200 in May 2021.

Other nominees scheduled to perform are Backroad Gee, ENNY and Potter Payper. U.K. garage act Heartless Crew has also been added to the lineup.

Comedian Mo Gilligan and radio host Julie Aldenuga helmed the last two shows.

Dapaah is best known for his portrayal of Big Shaq in the U.K. Under that pseudonym, Dapaah plays a fictionalized rapper and released the parody track “Man’s Not Hot” in 2017.

Dunn graced the cover of Vogue Greece’s September issue.

Drake’s Historic Chart Week: How He Matched The Beatles’ 57-Year-Old Record

Drake positively dominated the Billboard charts with the release of his sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy — but just how did he manage to match The Beatles’ 57-year-old chart record and make Billboard Hot 100 history along the way?

The superstar clocks his 10th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with the Sept. 3 release, and nine of the album’s songs debut in the top 10 on the Hot 100 — breaking his own record for the most songs in the top 10 at the same time. Plus, he has the entire top five of the chart, a feat that’s only been accomplished once previously, by none other than The Beatles in 1964.

On the latest episode of the Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, we call up Hot 100 chart manager Gary Trust to find out about this crazy chart action and what record Drake could possibly break next. (Listen to the full show below.)

Also on the show, Keith & Katie chat about all the musicians who walked the red carpet at Monday night’s Met Gala (Jennifer Lopez! Olivia Rodrigo! Kacey Musgraves! Frank Ocean and a green robotic baby!), just a day after the MTV Video Music Awards also hit New York City.
