Israeli Forces Invade Vermont in Response to Ben & Jerry’s Decision

Calling it a fitting response to an act of unprovoked aggression, Israeli forces have entered Vermont and are pushing towards the capital of Montpelier.

The invasion comes days after Ben & Jerry’s, a Unilever-owned ice cream company based in Burlington, announced that it would no longer sell its products in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

“I was not bluffing when I promised that this act of aggression by Ben and Jerry would have serious consequences,” Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett told The Mideast Beast. “Our forces will not leave Vermont until Ben, Jerry and all other Vermontinians accept the legitimacy of the Jewish state.”

While IDF officials portrayed the invasion as a defensive move aimed at preventing further attacks, the government has begun settling Israelis in eastern Vermont. Israeli officials said that they are prepared to negotiate a peace treaty with the northeastern US state, as long as Governor Phil Scott is open to mutually agreed upon land swaps.

“We cannot return to the pre-2021 borders, where Israelis lived in fear of attack from radical Vermontinian terrorists,” Foreign Minister Yair Lapid tweeted. “It is the Vermontinians who are the obstacles to peace.”

Remorseful Scott Morrison Says He Is Willing To Accept Responsibility For Brisbane’s Successful Olympics Bid

Admitting that he regrets not confronting the issue earlier, a repentant Scott Morrison says he is now willing to accept that he, and he alone, is responsible for Brisbane’s successful bid for the 2032 Olympic Games.

“This one’s on me. Not the bid committee, not the Queensland Premier. I have to own this,” the Prime Minister said in what appeared to be a cathartic admission.

“When you’re in the top job, there comes a time when you have to put your hand up and say, ‘I was responsible for that incredible win that will bring international investment and attention to Australia and totally reshape the nation’s third largest city. I need to be accountable for the positive media attention that results from an international victory like this’.

“That’s the long and short of it. The fact is, this is a historic day, not just for Brisbane and Queensland, but the entire country. And I have to take responsibility for that”.

He said the fact that he wasn’t directly involved in the bid in any way was irrelevant. “That’s what accountability means. I may not have been at any of the meetings or provided any support along the way. But that’s not the point. The point is, as the leader, you’re responsible. You take the good with the good”.

Mr Morrison said his biggest regret was not taking responsibility earlier.
