Katie Holmes Wore the Rising Denim Trend That's Fresher Than Skinny Jeans

There are certain celebrities we look to when we want to know which denim trends are cool. And the endorsement of a trend by an influential celeb such as Katie Holmes is a great place to start. As an NYC dweller who loves to walk around her city, Holmes is out and about being photographed a lot. This is probably annoying for her, but we're always happy to see what she's wearing.

Speaking of, Holmes wears jeans a lot, and they're hardly ever skinny jeans. She typically opts for styles that are a little fresher. Over the past year, we've spotted her in wide-leg, flare, and slouchy, low-rise styles, to name a few. But the latest style she's been wearing in and around NYC is utility jeans. This straight-leg style is a great one if you prefer for your jeans to be a little polished. Holmes paired her jeans with a white tank top, a tote bag, and ankle boots, proving simple is good when it comes to utility-jeans outfits.

What a Shopbop-Obsessed Editor (Me) Would Buy From Its Massive Sale Section

Someone's gotta narrow it down.

What a Shopbop-Obsessed Editor (Me) Would Buy From Its Massive Sale Section

It's not particularly groundbreaking for one to say that they're obsessed with Shopbop because, honestly, who isn't? I don't have a single fashion friend that isn't equally obsessed. My point is, Shopbop is great and it just marked down tons of current-season items by up to 70%, so let's discuss.

After a long year of having nowhere to wear cute things, I've been itching to shop for cute things to actually wear to places lately. I suddenly want all the heels, dresses, pretty tops, jeans, swimsuits, jewelry, etc... And even better if those items are discounted and if they arrive quickly and with free shipping. Shopbop checks all three of those boxes right now with the launch of its TK markdowns sale. I narrowed it down for you (as a Shopbop-obsessed fashion editor does), so let's get to it.
