King Of Clubs : Robbie Racer Rookie Cup!

Covid's impact on racing has ensured that winter outdoor racing is something that is going to be a chilly reality this year. One series that is ensuring people can get out there and race is the King Of Clubs Series. This friendly racing series will host five rounds of winter racing fun on the following dates 18/10/20 - Round 1 - Aldershot Model Car Club15/11/20 - Round 2 - Adur Model Car Club13/12/20 - Round 3 - Eastbourne Electric Car Club17/01/21 - Round 4 - West London Racing Centre21/02/21 - Round 5 - Colchester Model Car Club & Series AwardsThere are a wider range of classes that can be booked in Tamiya - 10 placesFWD - 10 placesF1 - 10 placesMTC - 10 places17.5 Blinky - 30 places13.5 Blinky - 20 placesModified - 10 placesEntries: https://www.brca.org/10th-ec-king-of-clubs Additional to these classes the KOC is running the Robbie Racer Rookie Cup!This exciting new class is for Junior racers, with the soul aim of bringing in more youth into the hobby. The class will involve the following basic rules.Chassis - Standard Tamiya Tub chassis, i.e Tamiya TT01/E or a TT02Electrics - Tamiya TBLE02-S esc and Tamiya Torque Tuned motor.Battery - AnyTyres - AnyShell - Must be a Tamiya shell.There will be only a few limited hop-ups available. These will ensure that the racing allows racers to just concentrate on the learning how to race with a very limited amount of tuning settings. This approach will not intimidate the racers, and will ensure they just want to concentrate on driving skills. More detail to come soon, however this weekend will be the first round where there is already a great number of Juniors ready to hit the track, many for the first time.  At the moment the rules are very loose but the will be refined between now an Round 2.
