King Of Clubs : Robbie Racer Rookies Cup!

Covid's impact on racing has ensured that winter outdoor racing is something that is going to be a chilly reality this year. One series that is ensuring people can get out there and race is the King Of Clubs Series. This friendly racing series will host five rounds of winter racing fun on the following dates 18/10/20 - Round 1 - Aldershot Model Car Club15/11/20 - Round 2 - Adur Model Car Club13/12/20 - Round 3 - Eastbourne Electric Car Club17/01/21 - Round 4 - West London Racing Centre21/02/21 - Round 5 - Colchester Model Car Club & Series AwardsThere is a wide range of classes that can be booked in Tamiya - 10 placesFWD - 10 placesF1 - 10 placesMTC - 10 places17.5 Blinky - 30 places13.5 Blinky - 20 placesModified - 10 placesEntries: https://www.brca.org/10th-ec-king-of-clubs Additional to these classes the KOC is running the Robbie Racer Rookies Cup!This exciting new class is for Junior racers, with the soul aim of bringing in more youth into the hobby. The class will involve the following basic rules.Chassis - Standard Tamiya Tub chassis, i.e Tamiya TT01/E or a TT02Electrics - Tamiya TBLE02-S esc and Tamiya Torque Tuned motor.Battery - AnyTyres - AnyShell - Must be a Tamiya shell.The goal is to keep it simple with only a few limited hop-ups available. These will ensure that this introductory class will allow racers to concentrate on learning how to race with a very limited amount of tuning settings. This approach will not intimidate these new racers, and will ensure they just concentrate on driving skills and having fun. More detail to come soon, however this weekend will be the first round where there is already a great number of Juniors ready to hit the track, many for the first time.  At the moment the rules based on the King of Clubs Tamiya class, but a more specific rule set is in development for Round 2.
