Marvel: RDJ Puts On The Infinity Gauntlet Again For Charity

Robert Downey Jr. wields the Infinity Gauntlet again since Avengers: Endgame, and this time this is for the charity event for the band Metallica.

Marvel: RDJ Puts On The Infinity Gauntlet Again For Charity

After , Robert Downey Jr. puts on the Infinity Gauntlet again, this time for charity. The actor's time playing Iron Man in the MCU ended in 2019 when the superhero wielded the power of all six Infinity Stones to defeat Thanos; the move also resulted in his death.

In 2008, Marvel Studios launched the MCU through Jon Favreau's Iron Man which debuted Downey as the titular character. Since then, the actor played the role a total of 10 times throughout the universe's Infinity Saga which wrapped up via Joe and Anthony Russo's Endgame. In the culminating film, Tony Stark pulled off a sacrificial play which ultimately defeated the Mad Titan and his minions. Admittedly, not everyone was a fan of how the MCU sent off its inaugural hero. Regardless, Iron Man wearing his own Stark Gauntlet with all the Infinity Stones will be one of the most iconic moments in the franchise ever.

This is why Marvel fans were thrilled seeing Downey wear the Infinity Gauntlet again, albeit for a different reason. In his new Instagram post, the actor sports a replica of the metal glove while promoting Metallica's upcoming virtual concert this Saturday, November 14th at 2pm PST. The event will be for the benefit of the All Within My Hands Foundation. Watch the clip below:

Those who are sticklers for details would point out that Tony didn't actually wield the Infinity Gauntlet that Downey was wearing in the video as it's the secondary glove they created following the time heist. Despite insistence from Thor to do it, Hulk was eventually picked to put it on and do the reverse snap. While it had the ability to change in size to fit its wearer, it didn't shrink in size after it was used once. Iron Man's gauntlet was fitted into his final suit, allowing him to swipe the Infinity Stones in his brief contact with Thanos during Endgame's climactic battle. Nevertheless, seeing the actor harken on his days playing the genius, billionaire in the MCU will almost always excite fans who have closely followed his journey in the universe.

Unfortunately, with Iron Man's arc in the MCU officially done, it's only going to be through fun promos like this that would see Robert Downey Jr. bringing back elements from his superhero past. Despite rumors that he could be returning as Tony Stark moving forward, the actor has confirmed that he's officially done with the MCU and is ready to try on other things. Frankly, as much as it would be cool to see the snarky superhero back, attempting to do this would only risk cheapening an otherwise fitting send off for the character.

Every COD: Black Ops Cold War Weapon Feels Different With PS5 DualSense

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will utilize PS5 DualSense's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to make every gun feel and behave differently.

Every COD: Black Ops Cold War Weapon Feels Different With PS5 DualSense

Thanks to natively programmed support of PlayStation 5’s haptic feedback, every weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will feel different when using a DualSense controller. The advanced technology is widely advertised to bring the sensation of touch to Sony’s next-gen console.

With PS5 already available in select countries, lucky owners will soon experience both haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in action. While the former technology is based on improved built-in vibration engines inside the DualSense controller, the latter relies on varying levels of resistance to simulate different scenarios when pulling the triggers. Both the innovations should make PS5 games feel more realistic and responsive with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War being among the first titles to take advantage of the technologies.

In an interview with GameSpot, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War lead game designer Tony Flame revealed that while being a cross-platform and cross-generation title, the game is designed in such a way so that players on different platforms do not get any advantages because of differences in ecosystems, performance, or computing power. But even though all the versions of the game are intended to be pretty similar in cross-play multiplayer regardless of the gaming device they are launched on, PS5 owners will still benefit from incorporated support of adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. According to Flame, the DualSense controller is able to transmit the very feeling of shooting a weapon thanks to built-in vibrating motors. At the same time, pulling the trigger will feel different for every single gun in the game representing varying levels of resistance.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the latest installment in the long-running series of warfare shooters. Story-wise, it serves as a prequel to the Black Ops sub-series concentrating on the Cold War era of espionage and political tension. Interestingly, the game will somewhat replace the previous entry, Modern Warfare, but not the Warzone battle royale standalone. Instead, the battle royale title will benefit from the release of Black Ops Cold War as all the content from the newest game including weapons, Operatives, Killstreaks, and much more, will be accessible from Warzone thanks to a unified Battle Pass.

While the intriguing features of haptic feedback and adaptive triggers have been mostly an enticing offer, it now becomes evident that PS5’s DualSense controller will indeed introduce a brand new way of experiencing video games. With each gun feeling and behaving differently in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, it’s safe to say that PS5 is about to start a small revolution in gaming considering all the opportunities that developers are now open to.
