Hussey chatted exclusively from his country Australia and despite being excited — he also insists that being in a bio-bubble will not be easy.

Mr Cricket also noted that , the skipper is ideally accustomed to batting at No. 4, adding that the middle-order should be flexible.

IPL 2020 originally scheduled for March in India was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will finally be held in the Emirates starting from September 19, 2020. Strict measures and lockdowns imposed in various states of India have given BCCI no other option but to move IPL abroad.

In UAE too, strict measures like staying in a biosecure bubble, no or minimal crowds, restrictions of loitering around or visiting places will be adhered to as well. Indian players will be rusty as they have not been in contact with cricket since lockdowns were imposed in March meaning that they had to stay at home most of the time.

Mike Hussey: CSK Players Must Be Disciplined And Adapt To Conditions

Mike Hussey says CSK is lucky to have a lot of experienced players with a vast knowledge of cricket in their ranks, but they have to prepare well and be ready for performing well in UAE.

Bio-bubble and protocols to be followed will not be easy for the players as they have not faced this situation before, but they have to be disciplined and should sincerely strict to the rules. He also said that every player has to adapt to the conditions in UAE.

Mike Hussey: CSK Will Play With Same Intensity Even In Empty Stadiums

Mike Hussey feels that batting is their strength, but they have a well-balanced team covering all the skills. They will surely miss the services of S Badrinath who have left and later retired, but Mike Hussey is unsure of the team’s combination in batting. He also said that CSK will play with the same intensity even if the stadiums are empty and there is no crowd to support them. CSK will work together as a team giving their very best.

CSK will have a lot of foreign recruits this year like Sam Curran, Josh Hazlewood, Lungi Ngidi, Mitchell Santner besides their experienced retained quartet of Dwayne Bravo, Shane Watson, Faf Du Plessis and Imran Tahir as foreign cricketers.

They will have a bulk of experienced Indian cricketers in the likes of , Ambati Rayudu, Murali Vijay, Ravindra Jadeja, Piyush Chawla, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni himself besides youngsters like Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur and Rituraj Gaikwad to name a few.

CSK have lifted IPL thrice in 2010,2011 and 2018 and have the best win percentage besides appearing in the playoffs and finals of the IPL maximum times and are the only IPL team to qualify for playoffs in every edition.

Inzamam-ul-Haq: Pakistan Batsmen Must Play Aggressively

Inzamam-ul-Haq, who was a former skipper and chief selector, requested batsmen to play aggressive cricket and team management should ensure that to win against a formidable England. He noted that Pakistan batsmen were being caught at slips since they were employing a defensive approach. He added that bat should be ahead of the leg while meeting the ball.

“Pakistan batsmen were scared of playing their shots. If you look at most of their dismissals, their bat was behind their leg. When you meet the ball, your bat should be ahead of your leg. You are getting caught at slips because you are employing a defensive approach,” Inzamam said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.

“I request the batsmen and team management to play aggressive cricket, in order to beat England. Otherwise, we will be depending on rain to save us in this Test.”

England won the first Test by three wickets despite Pakistan having the upper hand and being ahead in the first innings. But they lost mainly due to Chris Woakes and Jos Buttler’s 139 run sixth-wicket stand which took them home while chasing a stiff target of 277 while reeling at 117/5 at one stage.

Pakistan Ends Rain Curtailed Day Two On 223/9

In the second Test, Pakistan batsmen played defensive cricket but ended the second day on 223/9 thanks to wicket-keeper batsman unbeaten 60 off 116 balls including five boundaries and Abid Ali who was out on 60 off 111 balls including 7 boundaries. Apart from Abid Ali’s 60, Mohammad Rizwan’s unbeaten 60, Babar Azam’s 47 which came off 127 balls and Azhar Ali’s 20, the rest of the batsmen failed to score even two digits.

England are without their star all-rounder Ben Stokes who has opted out of the last two Tests of the ongoing three-match series citing personal reasons. Pacer Jofra Archer is also not playing but his replacement Sam Curran has picked up the key wicket of Abid Ali while Stuart Broad and James Anderson have picked up three wickets each to halt Pakistan’s progress. Chris Woakes has also picked up one wicket.

Pakistan batsmen scored slowly which was evident in the run rate 2.59 as they managed to score 223/9 at stumps on the rain-curtailed second day. Only 86 overs have been possible in the two days. The first day’s play saw only 45.4 overs as Pakistan were on 126/5 at stumps.
