NeNe Leakes has offered an update on how she’s managing since her husband Gregg Leakes‘ tragic cancer death earlier this month. Gregg was 66 when he lost his battle against colon cancer. On September 16, The Real Housewives of Atlanta face posted Instagram stories to let fans know she’s up and down, also showing how she’s managing to keep life normal without her husband.

NeNe Leakes Shares Update After Gregg’s Passing

Showing off new hair as she continues to grieve the loss, NeNe told fans she’s having to “adjust to my new life,” something she called her “new normal.” The 53-year-old added:

“You know, I have a whole group of people that’s coming to my house every day doing different stuff with me. So, trying to keep my mind off of, you know, the events that recently happened. Love you guys.”

Gregg passed on September 1, just days after NeNe had said he was “transitioning to the other side.” He first broke the news of his Stage 3 colon cancer diagnosis back in 2018, after which treatment had him in the all-clear – this, ahead of the cancer’s 2019 return.

Going To The Salon

Footage showed Leakes driving around and hitting up a hair salon. The star continued:

“I have good days and bad days, but yeah, they say it’s normal. Some days I’m up, some days I’m down,” adding: “Today I felt like going to the salon, so that was good. I normally don’t go to the salon. I usually let people come to my house. So today I decided to drive to the salon and actually sit in the salon with other women. And that was good to be around other people. So, yeah, good days and bad days. Pushing through. Pushing through.”

Nene Leakes has also been sharing emotional throwbacks of herself to Instagram, with a heart-breaking video after Gregg’s passing showing him slow-dancing with his wife as she used a broken-heart emoji. Three days ago, a car selfie from the star came with her saying she’s “pushing thru” as she thanked her glam team for “pampering me always.”

‘Amazing’ Phonecalls Keep ‘Pouring’ In

Leakes also touched on the support she’s been receiving since becoming a widow. She told fans: “I’ve had so many amazing phone calls and amazing text messages that just keep pouring in, pouring in, pouring in.” The reality star also said that “the love has been amazing. I mean, every morning when I wake up, I have a ton of text messages from different people — some of the same people all the time — you know, telling me to be encouraged and all those things.”

Latest Update On Wendy Williams’ Health Brings More Questions

Wendy Williams' brother gave an update about the talk show host's health status after she checked into a hospital for a psych evaluation.

Latest Update On Wendy Williams’ Health Brings More Questions

Wendy Williams’ brother has shared an update on how the talk show host is doing after she was voluntarily admitted to the hospital for a psychological evaluation. The Wendy Williams Show star was also diagnosed with a breakthrough case of COVID-19 right before Season 13 of her show was expected to premiere, causing a delay in production. Now we know a little more about how Wendy is doing thanks to her brother, Tommy Williams.

Wendy Williams’ Health Status

Fans of Wendy Williams were distressed to learn that the veteran talk show host had checked into the hospital in order to combat mental health issues. The premiere of The Wendy Williams Show was originally scheduled to happen on Monday, September 20, but has now been pushed back to October 4 (for now). In the meantime, Wendy is seeking treatment for both her mental health issues as well as her COVID-19 diagnosis, although the most recent reports indicate that she is asymptomatic.

Wendy’s Brother Tommy Shares Exclusive Details

Now Wendy’s brother, Tommy Williams, has released new updates about his sister’s health, but questions about her status still remain. In his YouTube podcast, Tommy addressed concerns about Wendy and explained, “I did speak with Wendy, she’s stabilized, she’s doing alright.” He added, “You know I can’t give all the blow by blows. I told her I’ll never precede her voice through the show,” though he did thank his viewers for “all the kind words.”

Tommy continued, “I really do believe and have the faith that Wendy’s going to make it.” He also acknowledged that mental health struggles are “not an easy fight. It’s not one that individuals always win.” He also noted that the one-year anniversary of their mother’s death was coming up in November.

Still Reeling From Her Mother’s Death?

Shirley Williams passed away last year at the age of 83-years-old. Wendy was extremely close to her mother, saying on her show after Shirley’s passing, “Our relationship was like that of two teenage girls,” adding, “Gone is the best mother, the best girlfriend that a girl could ever have.”

Though he clearly didn’t want to discuss such a deeply personal matter, a matter that was about someone else to boot, Tommy went on to assure that although the battle Wendy was fighting wasn’t easy, “it’s necessary.” He insisted that “she’s doing well, she’s stable.” It’s unclear whether he was speaking of her mental health struggles or about her COVID-19 diagnosis. Either way, we wish Wendy the best as she continues her treatment.
