The news was announced at a press conference from the Premier this morning.

"So well done everyone," Annastacia Palaszczuk said.

"That means we only have six active cases in Queensland.

"Keep up the great work, Queensland."

She said that Queensland was the envy of the world when it came to handling the pandemic, but urged against complacency.

In NSW, there were no new cases of locally transmitted coronavirus in the past 24 hours for the second day in a row.

There were five cases in hotel travellers returned from overseas.

More than 12,000 tests were conducted in the state in the past 24 hours.

Seventy-four patients are being treated by NSW Health, but none are in intensive care.

Meanwhile in Victoria, seven new cases were detected in the past 24 hours.
