Pearl Thusi has seemingly slammed critics who mocked her rival Bonang Matheba after news of the latter’s House of BNG topped the Trends list.

‘Only a witch celebrates’: Pearl Thusi takes a swipe at Bonang critics

It’s no secret that Pearl Thusi and Bonang Matheba have been sworn enemies for the longest of time. But in a surprising turn of events, it looks as though things may be changing…

At least on the part of the actress and presenter who hinted at the ongoing drama surrounding Bonang, her agency and her sparkling wine brand House of BNG…

Pearl Thusi – who recently launched her own alcoholic beverage Black Rose – seemingly referenced her rival’s battle with former agency Celebrity Services Africa (CSA) – who were reportedly sacked by Bonang after they “muscled” her out as a shareholder of House of BNG.

Bonang made the announcement over Twitter Spaces last week, shortly before CSA themselves revealed that they “look forward to the day in court” with the star after she reportedly “breached multiple contracts”.

Following the news and Bonang trending on Twitter, Pearl took a swipe at people who mock the misery of others in a cryptic tweet of her own.

“Don’t ever be happy when someone is suffering. It only exposes lack of empathy, self esteem and maturity. Only a witch celebrates such outcomes.

“Celebrating a turbulent time in someone else’s life is proof of ub’thakathi [witchcraft]. Ungam’bulala umuntu [You can kill someone]”.

Meanwhile Twitter users are poking fun at Bonang for fronting House of BNG, despite not having any official shares in the company.

The media personality topped the Trends list over the weekend with tweeps – including Twitter personality Daniel Marven – finding humour in ther messy professional life.

He tweeted: “Bonang Matheba, what happened to the so called Wine Yard she bought?”.

Others however came to her defence, like Pearl Thusi.

“May Bonang rise above all this. May she conquer these trails & come out of them even more stronger & successful”, said one tweep.

Another added that they had B’s back. “If they muscle @Bonang out of the House of BNG deal, we stop buying. No Bonang, No sales”, they tweeted.
