PCB Announce Schedule For Remaining Games Of PSL 2020

All four remaining matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 will be played in Lahore in November. Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed the development on Wednesday while also announcing the schedule for the remaining games of the tournament.

Earlier this year in March, PSL 2020 was postponed indefinitely in the light of the coronavirus outbreak. The tournament was postponed just before the playoffs stage.

As per the new schedule,  there will be one double header – the qualifier and Eliminator 1 – on November 14, followed by Eliminator 2 on November 15 and the final on November 17. All games are set to be played at the Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore. The PCB also hinted that if the situation improves, fans could be allowed in stadiums.

“The final four matches of the event will be played under Covid-19 protocols, including bio-secure bubble for the players, match officials and event-related staff. The matches are currently planned to be held behind closed doors, though the situation will be closely monitored and will be reviewed in October,” said the PCB in a release.

Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi are the teams who will fight it out for the PSL 2020 trophy. The CEO of PCB, Wasim Khan also added that there will be more tournaments in the pipeline after PSL.

“PCB is planning to hold its 2020-21 domestic season, which will include a number of age-group, men and women competitions, as well as home international series against Zimbabwe and South Africa. “All domestic 2020-21 season matches will prove to be catalyst for the successful planning and delivery of the HBL Pakistan Super League 2021, which will be held in February/March next year,” said Khan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s tour of England recently ended. After losing the three-match Test series, the visitors drew the T20I series 1-1.

CPL 2020: St Lucia Zouks vs Guyana Amazon Warriors – Dream11 Prediction, Playing XI, Pitch and Weather Report

The 24th game of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2020) will witness a standoff between the second and the third-placed teams in the points table, namely St Lucia Zouks (SLZ) and Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW).

After a disappointing start to their campaign, the GAW came back strongly by registering a few crucial wins. Whereas, the Zouks have been the second-best side in the tournament after Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR).

The encounter between SLZ and GAW is all set to be a riveting one. The Warriors would seek revenge for the 10-run loss in the reverse fixture.

SLZ vs GAW, Probable XI:

St Lucia Zouks:

Zouks have somehow found a way to win games from precariously placed situations. Their last game against Barbados Tridents (BT) is a prime example of the never-say-die attitude in the team.

The Darren Sammy-led side became the second team to qualify for the semi-finals. SLZ would look to extend their dominance over the Warriors.

Probable XI:

Rahkeem Cornwall, Andre Fletcher (wk), Leniko Boucher, Roston Chase, Najibullah Zadran, Mohammad Nabi, Javelle Glenn, Daren Sammy (c), Scott Kuggeleijn, Kesrick Williams, Zahir Khan.

Guyana Amazon Warriors:

Warriors would be determined to continue with their winning form, eyeing the spot for the semi-finals.

The Chris Green-led side has won four and lost as many games in the tournament, thus far. Both GAW and SLZ are coming off thumping wins over the Tridents.

Probable XI:

Brandon King, Kevin Sinclair, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Ross Taylor, Keemo Paul, Chris Green (c), Romario Shepherd, Naveen-ul-Haq, Kissoondath Magram, Imran Tahir,

Pitch and Weather Report:

The pitch offered at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad provided ample support for the TKR batters as they posted above 180 on Tuesday.

Therefore, it can be inferred that the game will be a high-scoring one. The weather throughout the day is expected to be cloudy, with occasional spells of showers.
