A teenage girl has died after a crash between an unregistered motorbike and a car on the NSW South Coast.

A teenage girl has died after a crash between an unregistered motorbike and a car on the NSW South Coast.

Emergency services were called to Hertford Street, Berkeley just after 11.30pm on Sunday, where they found a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy with serious injuries.

Police were told the teens were riding an unregistered motorbike in the east lane when a Toyota Aurion that was travelling west collided with them.

The 21-year-old driver stopped and helped the teens before paramedics took them to Wollongong Hospital.

He was uninjured and underwent mandatory blood and urine testing.

The girl was in a critical condition when she arrived at hospital on the weekend, but she has since died from her injuries.

An investigation is continuing and police urge anyone who may have information to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
