The comradery within Star Wars is classic, with there also being some great bromances throughout the series.

Star Wars is all about good vs. evil, and along that way there are plenty of great friendships and relationships that are built up. Many of those end up creating amazing romances, bringing some of the strongest male characters within the franchise. Whether it's two Jedi, robots, or everything in between, the friendships that take place within these movies are what make them so compelling.

With the stakes as high as they are within each movie, the friendships become even more important, but which bromance across the franchise is the strongest?

10 Luke Skywalker & Yoda

When Luke Skywalker goes to find Yoda, he ends up getting more than he bargains for. The legendary Jedi does train him, but it's not a simple situation straight away. Yoda pushes Luke to the extreme in order to get the best out of him, and it creates a brilliant friendship.

Yoda likes to have fun with the young Jedi. and that is something that makes their friendship a lot of fun to watch. While Luke is able to overcome that and build a strong friendship with Yoda, earning his respect, which makes their bromance come together, that only gets stronger.

9 Emperor Palpatine & Darth Vader

While Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader are villains, that doesn't mean that they can't have a bromance. Their friendship is a lot more serious than most of the others within this franchise, and while they're not cracking jokes, they still have a close bond.

Their connection is more about taking control of the galaxy, dominating everything and everyone within their way. That's a close and unique bond and one that starts in the prequels, with the two of them having a teacher and protege relationship.

8 Obi-Wan Kenobi & Qui-Gon Jinn

The young Obi-Wan Kenobi builds a great bromance within Star Wars: The Phantom Menace with Qui-Gon Jinn. While Qui-Gon is technically a mentor for Obi-Wan, they do end up on a level playing field, with Qui-Gon trusting him as much as possible, which comes with great friendship.

They clearly both care about each other, fighting side by side and trying their hardest to make sure that they train young Anakin in the best way possible. 7 Luke Skywalker & Ben Kenobi

One of Luke Skywalker's first great friendships comes with Ben Kenobi, who ends up taking Luke under his wing to create a fantastic friendship. It's one built around respect, but the difference in their energy and personalities does work out well.

Ben can be quite serious at times, as he wants the best from Luke, but they clearly have a deep love for one another as friends. Their bond is one of the most enjoyable within the franchise, and it's something that brings the best out of Luke, while also reigniting the fire inside of Ben.

6 Poe Dameron & Finn

From the moment that Poe Dameron and Finn first meet they instantly have a great connection, and that's something that only continues throughout the sequel trilogy. Both characters have tons of energy, and when they're put together it always leads to a lot of fun.

Han Solo is someone with a big personality who loves to charm as many people as possible which is why he's got several great bromances throughout the franchise. One of the best is his friendship with Lando Calrissian, with the two of them having a strong bond together.

They're great friends because of how competitive they are together. Lando and Han are always wanting to one-up each other, which is a lot of fun to play out within the movies. While they're not always on the same page, they normally come together at the right moments and work well as a unit.

4 R2-D2 & C-3PO

Can robots have bromances? Well, they clearly can in Star Wars because R2-D2 and C-3PO are brilliant friends within these movies. They're together throughout them all, spend plenty of time bickering and arguing as any good bromance does, while they do have a clear love for each other too.

These two characters might have had different personalities, but that's what made them such a likable bromance.
