A brand new promotional image of the Dark Knight from Robert Pattinson’s The Batman has made its way online.

Of the most exciting superhero movies that have yet to come out, The Batman has got to be at the top of everyone’s list. Thanks to a gritty trailer set to Nirvana’s “Something In The Way” and a highly qualified cast in tow, The Batman is set to be one of DC’s more unique solo offerings. Branched off of Ben Affleck’s canceled solo Batman picture, Robert Pattinson’s take on The Dark Knight will see the character in his second year of crime-fighting, taking on the likes of The Riddler, Catwoman Carmine Falcone, and The Penguin. Unfortunately, fans haven’t gotten a solid look at Pattinson’s Batman since last summer’s trailer. However, a brand new photo of The Dark Knight has made its way online, providing fans a great new look at The Caped Crusader.

Tom Welling Wants To Play Superman In Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’

The newly surfaced image of Robert Pattinson was found on Twitter. Pattinson is seen taking on a tactical stance in the photo, with a batarang ready to hit any foes who might dare come his way. In true comic book fashion, the photo also shows The Dark Knight’s cape willowing in the breeze. While the photo isn’t of the highest quality, it definitely reminds us of just how cool and unique Pattinson’s suit in The Batman is.

New Promo Art For Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’ Shows The Dark Knight Ready For Action

The plot of The Batman is being kept under wraps, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger version of Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as the Dark Knight of Gotham City. The film will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the hero. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

‘The Green Knight’ Trailer: Dev Patel Faces His Destiny in David Lowery’s Arthurian Legend Fantasy Film

At long last, The Green Knight is coming to theaters. The fantasy epic from A24 and director David Lowery was supposed to embark on its quest via a world premiere at SXSW in 2020 before opening in theaters soon after, but the pandemic drove a sword straight into those plans. Those of us eager to see the film at any cost hoped A24 would release it digitally, but the indie distributor held fast and saved the film for theaters. Now, The Green Knight will gallop onto big screens in July, and there’s a new trailer to get us excited all over again.

The Green Knight Trailer

I’m pretty sure The Green Knight is on everyone’s “must-see” list for the year, because how could it not be? Here, David Lowery takes the Arthurian story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and reworks it into a film that looks strange, scary, and unique. The movie is described as “a fresh and bold spin on a classic tale from the knights of the round table,” and “tells the story of Sir Gawain, King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. Gawain contends with ghosts, giants, thieves, and schemers in what becomes a deeper journey to define his character and prove his worth in the eyes of his family and kingdom by facing the ultimate challenger.”

Dev Patel plays Sir Gawain, and leads a cast that includes Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton, Sarita Choudhury, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Barry Keoghan, and Ralph Ineson. Director David Lowery wrote the script. Last year, when folks were clamoring for a potential digital release of The Green Knight, Lowery weighed in and didn’t completely shoot down the idea, although he preferred a theatrical release.

When asked about the film’s release date, he said: “No one knows. That’s the case with everything at the moment. No one knows anything. All I can say is that at some point audiences will see it. And they’ll see it in the best way possible, given the circumstances. Hopefully, that’s in theaters. Hopefully, theaters survive. I’m a big-time defender of the theatrical experience, and one of the things I love about A24 is that they are, as well. If I were just an audience member and I’ve been stuck at home for six months and I wanted to see a new movie, I’d rather see it at home than not see it at all. So I’m confident that it’ll be seen soon, but ‘soon’ is variable.”

In the end, it was probably wise to hold out for a theatrical release, because it sure looks like The Green Knight is going to look pretty damn great on a big screen. The Green Knight opens on July 30, 2021.
