‘The Flash’: New Set Photo Shows Ezra Miller & Kiersey Clemons Together

A new set photo from The Flash shows Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen and Kiersey Clemons’ Iris West together.

The Flash might be one of DC’s most ambitious projects in recent memory. From what we know, the film will be focusing itself on setting up the multiverse, introducing Sasha Calle’s Supergirl, reintroducing Michael Keaton’s Batman, and showing Barry Allen saving his mom. That’s a whole lot to pack in for a superhero project, but director Andy Muschietti has proven time and time again that he’s a capable auteur. While the project will certainly have its high-octane action scenes and jaw-dropping reveals, it’s also set to have quieter moments that reflect Barry Allen’s introspective and sensitive nature. One thing that the upcoming project will be focusing itself on is the relationship between Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen and Kiersey Clemons’ Iris West.

‘The Flash’: New Set Photo Reveals Sasha Calle’s Supergirl Cape

Introduced in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Kiersey Clemons’ Iris West is set to have a pivotal role in The Flash as Barry Allen’s love interest. Details are slim on how much her relationship with Ezra Miller’s character will be developed, but it’s hard not to imagine them dating by the end of the film. A set photo taken in London shows Miller dressed up in a suit at the foot of what looks like a courthouse alongside Clemons’ Iris. It’s possible that Barry is attending the trial of Henry Allen and West is covering it for Picture News, leading to a chance encounter between the two.

‘The Flash’: Recent Photos Hint At Ezra Miller’s New Barry Allen Look

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline, which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the DC Extended Universe, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more exclusive video content!

‘Black Widow’: Kevin Feige On More Potential MCU Prequel Films

Kevin Feige discussed the possibility of other MCU films being prequels like Black Widow.

Marvel Studios’ Black Widow is unique in the sense that it’s the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that’s a direct prequel. While films like Captain America: The First Avenger have taken place before the main events of the MCU, the Kevin Feige-produced Black Widow is the first to directly explore a character’s past when it’s known how their story ends. It’s an interesting tool to beef up the MCU’s lore, while also giving more context to the hero’s origins. Prequel films and television series in the MCU would certainly be an exciting idea. Fans have been clamoring to see what Bruce Banner was up to between The Incredible Hulk and Avengers. Other ideas that have popped up over recent years also include Bucky’s time as the brainwashed Winter Soldier or Thanos’ early days on Titan.

‘Black Widow’: First Reactions Praise Scarlett Johansson’s Marvel Movie

During the virtual press conference for the Scarlet Johannson-led film, MCU architect Kevin Feige was asked if the franchise would see more prequel films like Black Widow in the future.

“Well, certainly this film and this story is a particular case for Natasha, but the notion of exploring the past, present, and future of the MCU is certainly in the cards for all of our characters. This particular story, this particular cast, is very personal, very specific, to Natasha.”
