WITCHTIPS & HOROSCOPES 7/29-8/4/2020
See what’s in the stars for you this week…
Astrology by Lisa Stardust
This week is astrologically intense. However, if we step away from the collective drama and focus the energy on healing our own lives, then we will be able to soar to new heights.
July 30th brings the first of three oppositions from the planet Mercury this week. Mercury, who’s in Cancer, will oppose Jupiter, who’s retrograde in Capricorn on the 30th. The same day, Neptune, who’s retrograde in Pisces, lends a confusing energy to Mercury. Two days later, on August 1st, Mercury opposes Pluto, who’s retrograde in Capricorn. Then, on August 3rd, Mercury opposes Saturn, who’s retrograde in Capricorn. All of this Mercurial energy means that we will feel ignored by others and lost in our heads, which will cause tensions within relationships. Mercury enters Leo on August 4th, ending the intense cycle of mental and emotional frustration that we’ll feel throughout the week.
The Leo Sun clashes with Uranus, who’s in Taurus, on August 2nd. This cosmic connection will give us the chance to embrace our inner passions. The Sturgeon Full Moon in Aquarius gives this energy more power, by forcing us to rid ourselves of outdated beliefs and views.
Mars, who’s in Aries, squares off with Jupiter on August 4th, ending the week with an intense argument which can be avoided if we let go of the need to control situations and others.
It will be hard for you to find balance between your personal and professional life this week, particularly on August 4th when Mars, who’s aligned with your Sun, and Pluto, who’s retrograde in Capricorn, square off. In order to avoid drama from unfolding, it’s advisable to take a step back and go with the fliers Focus on yourself, instead of asserting dominance over professional matters.
Don’t jump to conclusions before hearing the facts of the matter this week. You may be inclined to argue your point based on hearsay on August 3rd, which will lead to regret on August 4th. Be sure that you know the whole truth before making any decisions, as you may not be 100% in the know. When in doubt, lean into your intuition rather than gossip.
Expressing yourself is healthy and an effective way of getting clarity on matters. The only caveat is that you may receive pushback from a friend during the Full Moon on August 3rd, who doesn’t necessarily like what you have to say about your relationship with them. In time, they’ll be open to hearing you out. It’s tough for them to hear about their shortcomings now.
Power struggles within relationships will pop all week, due to Mercury’s opposition to Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn (in that exact order), who are all currently retrograde. You’ll become more aware of the difference of opinions that you have with others from July 30th to August 3rd, which will make you rethink the direction you want to take with such partnerships under the Sturgeon Full Moon.
It’s important for you to honor your feelings this week, especially during the Sturgeon Full Moon on August 3rd which will bring up issues within your interpersonal relationships. Being honest with others can seem scary, but it will aid in bridging the gap between you both and bringing you closer together. Your friends and family may surprise you by being open to hearing you out.
Although it’s hard to disconnect from the past, it’s important that you remain in the present — especially over the weekend when you are being tested by the universe. The planetary retrogrades of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto are forcing you to look back, while Mercury wants you to move forward. Be cognizant of lessons you need to learn for the future during the Full Moon.
Big changes are in the cosmos for you this week. Horever, you’re not ready to embrace it. Mercury’s opposition with Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto (who are all retrograde) on July 30th to August 3rd will push you towards change and transformation. But, the Full Moon on August 3rd will force you to pause. Growth will happen on your terms when you’re ready. Take your time.
It’s hard for you to commit to future plans and projects, which may cause issues to arise at work and in your personal life. Instead of scheduling meetings that you cannot keep, be clear that your life is in flux at the moment to ensure people have a realistic expectation of you. This tactic will be especially handy on August 3rd during the Full Moon.
You often put your foot in your mouth, which is why it’s important for you to think before you speak. You may accidentally utter hurtful words that you don’t mean on August 3rd. You’ll find making amends is hard on August 4th, when Mars and Jupiter retrograde collide in the cosmos. Choose your words wisely and assert yourself with kindness to avoid conflicts with others.
Be aware of vampiric energy coming from your peers this week, especially from July 30th to August 3rd, when people project their issues onto you. You may feel inclined to confront them on August 4th. Instead of arguing back and forth with your friends, separate and project your energy from their jealousies. Don’t let others exploit you, take back your power and stand in your confidence.
Unfortunately, you’re facing karmic repercussions of past indiscretions (some of which were made in a past life). The Sturgeon Full Moon on August 3rd will give you the opportunity to heal the past and cleanse your sensibilities. By week’s end, you’ll be able to start anew on an emotional level. Just keep the karmic lessons in check as you move forward with your new sensibilities.
Take a step back from your daily grind and pay attention to your artistic visions. You may want to spruce up your day-to-day activities during the Full Moon on August 3rd and embrace a new fun creative project. You’ll find comfort and solace in starting a new artistic venture to calm your anxieties and add excitement to your life from July 30th to August 3rd.
